Gary Tiller, Executive Director

Gary joined the Beaches Council on Aging as its first Executive Director in January 2018.  Previously, Gary held several sales and marketing roles with ACI Worldwide, Inc. including opening a regional office in Jacksonville in 1987. He retired from Beach Church in Jacksonville Beach in the fall of 2016, where he served as Executive Director of Ministry. Read more about Gary.

Henry Burnett, President

Henry joined the Beaches Council on Aging in 2015. He retired after 21 years in the US Marine Corps where he worked in the engineer field and taught at the engineer school. Henry also served a tour as a drill instructor at Parris Island and after retiring from the service in 1991, he returned to college. Read more about Henry.

Kathryn Latham, Past President

Jim Stuck, PhD, Vice President 

Jim joined the Board of Beaches Council on Aging because he saw its potential to become a major force in providing assistance and benefits for seniors in his community. Read more about Jim.

Jack Morison, Treasurer

Jack joined the Beaches Council on Aging in 2018. After joining, he was asked to take over as Treasurer because of his fairly extensive history in accounting. After working for more than 52 years in the transportation industry with five different companies, he retired in 2012 from the Suddath Companies, United Van Lines largest group of agencies. Mitzi Saul, Secretary

An active volunteer, Mitzi joined the Beaches Council on Aging board in 2016. She enjoyed being with seniors in her job as a hospice educator and likes supporting community events. Read more about Mitzi.

Colette Snelling

Colette has a great passion for assisting her community with programs like Beaches Council on Aging. She joined the senior industry as a Director of Plant operations at Ashford Court and now  works at Avante at Jacksonville Beach. Read more about Colette.

Patricia Rakowski

With a business management degree from Rosemont College (Rosemont, PA) and after retiring from a successful career in the insurance industry, Pat and her husband David moved to Jacksonville Beach in 2011. Read more about Patricia.

Vicki Wyckoff

Vicki Wyckoff joined the Beaches Council on Aging board in 2018. Previously, she has held several volunteer positions with Beaches Community Kitchen, Feeding Northeast Florida, St. Vincent's Foundation, Southeast Guide Dogs and the Church of Eleven22. Read more about Vicki.

Meet Our Staff

Joanne Craft

Joanne has been a dedicated dispatcher for Dial-a-Ride since 2000 after retiring from the Baptist Cancer institute in 1998. She is passionate about the seniors and disabled having safe and affordable transportation to keep them independent. Read more about Joanne.

Jim Ellerson

Jim has been driving for Dial-a-Ride since February of 2017. He retired in 1998 after serving 30 years with the United States Treasury Department. Since retiring, Jim had a strong desire to give back to his community and knew Dial-a-Ride was for him the minute he heard about the opportunity. Read more about Jim. 

Scott Hamilton

Scott started driving for Dial-a-Ride in June of 2018 and currently serves as the operations manager. For 20 years he served in the US Army, retiring in 2000, and moved to Jacksonville where he worked for Sears and The Home Depot.

John Ford

John joined the Dial-a-Ride team in May 2019. Over the past 20 years John held several sales and managing roles in construction sales around Jacksonville. He was led to take a sabbatical from construction sales and wait for the Lord’s prompting for his next career opportunity.

“I have developed a passion for helping seniors and folks with disabilities. My wife and I were very involved with the care of my mother, that was stricken with ALS/ Lou Gehrig’s disease in early 2000’s. This time with her sparked a desire in me to help individuals with disabilities or mobility concerns where ever I can.” -John

Steve Richards

Steve is the newest member of the Dial-a-Ride team and he started in August 2019. Previously, he was an Exceptional Student Teacher in Duval and Clay Counties and served as the President of the Clay County Teachers Association. Since retiring from teaching, Steve has been busy remodeling houses, working on his crafts, and volunteering at BEAM. He and his wife Lori have three adult children. They are avid sailors and crew their 38 foot sailboat “Andiamo” as often as possible.
